About Øresund IT
Øresund IT is a project carried out by three organisations - Region Skåne, Copenhagen Capacity and Øresund IT Academy -, which have joined forces to promote the unique skills within the IT sector in the Øresund Region.
The Øresund Region comprises Greater Copenhagen, in Denmark, and Skåne, in southern Sweden. Overall, the region has 3.5 million inhabitants.
Free of charge services
Region Skåne and Copenhagen Capacity are publicly funded organizations that assist, free of charge, foreign companies in establishing activities in the Øresund Region.
The services offered by Region Skåne and Copenhagen Capacity include:
 General and specific information about commercial opportunities in the Øresund Region
Organizing programmes for visits to the Øresund Region
Contact with potential industrial partners and with local R&D institutions
Contact with venture capital companies and other investors
Providing support to companies during and after the establishment of activities in the Øresund Region
Meeting places
Øresund IT Academy is a cooperative organization for Swedish and Danish IT actors in the Øresund region. The overall aim of Øresund IT Academy is creating an optimal environment for the development of business, education and research in the IT sector. Øresund IT Academy concentrates on creating meeting places for business and higher education in the IT sector.
