Higher education
Knowledge in the frontline
The Øresund region as a whole is the largest hub for education and research in Scandinavia, counting 136,500 students and 10,000 researchers at 14 institutions of higher education.
Currently, 6,700 students are enrolled at IT-related programmes in universities located in the Øresund region. This is equivalent to approximately 5% of all students at the local universities.
High levels of expertise and competence within the IT education system have created a knowledge foundation that forms an ideal environment for the exploitation of new technologies and innovative business opportunities. This knowledge base has been consolidated by a longstanding tradition of collaboration with educational institutions all over the world. Local research and educational institutions are also used to working closely with the local and international business communities.
