Roskilde University

Researchers and especially students from abroad are very much part of everyday life at Roskilde University, which had almost 8,800 enrolled students in 2001. The University's activities are organised in ten departments and degrees are offered in a wide range of subjects at Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. levels.

Roskilde University has made a conscious effort to become a place where both the environment and the study programs have an international content. Such prioritising can be clearly observed in the Department of Communication, Journalism an Computer Science, which offers a Ph.D. program in Design and Management of Information Technology in co-operation with other Danish and foreign institutions.

In addition, the department offers three master courses covering different aspects of IT. The department's program of studies is characterised by its integration with other academic areas, such as social and natural sciences.
