SCION DTU

SCION DTU is a result of the incorporation of the Hørsholm Science Park by the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), occurred in January 2004. The new SCION DTU is a company owned by DTU that aims at promoting innovation and knowledge transfer between the university and private companies.

SCION DTU provides space, buildings and service facilities for business enterprises, institutions and organisations. Its main fields of activity are IT, communications, electronics, biotechnology and environmental technology.

Approximately 3,500 people work in the Park, which is the 5^th largest knowledge centre in Scandinavia when measured in relation to production of research per year.  

The new park facilities combine the area previously owned by Hørsholm Science Park, situated in a country setting covering more than 1 million square metres in the vicinity of Hørsholm, north of Copenhagen, and an additional area located at DTU, in Lyngby.
