The company is a leader in its niche, IT systems for the
management of on board sales for the airline and transport
industry. Based in Allerød, north of Copenhagen, Dataflight has SAS
and Singapore Airlines among its customers.
DataFlight was seriously affected by the recession within global
aviation but, according to IATA, the number of flight passengers
grew 15.4% in the first four months of 2004, which creates
excellent prospects for Dataflight’s products.
According to Kenneth Ek, leader of Canon's European Business
Development, besides the general increase in the number of
passengers, the low-price companies are expanding. For these
companies there is a great potential in the sale of products such
as headphones, food, drinks and tax-free goods during the flight.
For this purpose they need a terminal and here the small Danish
company has a very strong platform," states.
