The system is able to register sound, vibrations and magnetism and
send this information to a computer that, with the help of a piece
of software, verifies the type of vehicle. Exensor’s product is
mainly for military use, but it can also be employed in civilian
applications such as the surveillance of chemical plants and
frontier areas.
The company’s next step will be the development of a product
that can identify human beings, informs the electronic news service
Rapidus.
Initially based in Mariestad, Central Sweden, Exensor moved to
Ideon Science Park in Lund five years ago. “We moved to Lund to
find the expertise that we needed to further develop our product”,
said Christian Gravengaard, Exensor's Managing Director, to Radio
Malmö.
