The company has just received an order to supply 700,000 chips that are the core of a motorway payment system to be installed in two locations in Chile.

Delta has developed the chip to be used in the Chilean system and also in the road-toll system employed in the Øresund Bridge, which links southern Sweden and Denmark. Delta collaborates with the Swedish company Kapsch Traficcom, which provides the overall motorway payment system while Delta supplies the chips used in the system. The new order for the chips is worth 2.8 million euro.

The system – known as BroBizz – was as also in use during 2000 Olympic Games in Australia and has been employed in several countries like China, The Philippines, Slovenia and Austria.

»We are today a total supplier of brobizz-components and have achieved large share of the international market”, said Per Hartlev, Delta’s director to the Danish paper Berlingske Tidende.

DELTA is among Europe's leading international test, design, service, consulting and education organisations within electronics, microelctronics, software technology, light, optics, acoustics and vibration.
