Speakanet receives Finnish investment Eqvitec Partners has joined Northzone Ventures in the first round investment in Speakanet, increasing the total commitment to 4 million euro.

Speakanet’s software products replace and improve existing fixed line PBX systems at significantly lower costs. Together with Northzone Ventures, which invested in Speakanet last June, Eqvitec Partners provide the financial strength required to roll out the virtual PBX solutions to operators worldwide.
Speakanet’s products are based on the open standards Microsoft .NET and OSA/Parlay. Today Speakanet’s virtual PBX products are mainly used by mobile operators that offer mobile call management solutions to their enterprise clients, but the products even include VoIP solutions and converged networks as well.
Helnsiki-based Eqvitec Partners is a private and independent venture capital firm in the Nordic countries specializing in technology companies, and has invested in more than 40 companies in all Nordic countries.
Northzone Ventures is a Nordic venture capital firm specialized in innovative early stage investments within software, information technology and telecommunications, and has invested in more than 30 companies across Scandinavia.
