The automation knowledge centre will be located in the company’s Danish headquarters, in Skovlunde, a town north of the Danish capital. The decision of establishing the centre in Greater Copenhagen is a result of the close co-operation that ABB has developed with the Danish pharmaceutical industry in the last two decades.
Henrik Pedersen, director at ATPA industry, which is ABB’s Danish automation division, expects that the admission of the Baltic countries in the EU will generate investments in the construction and modernisation of factories, which can result in good business for ABB.
The centre is expected to start operations in January 2005, informs the Danish electronic news service journal Ingeniøren.
