The new centre, with the name Microsoft Technology Center for EMEA ISV Development, will work in the same facilities where Microsoft Business Solutions has its development centre. ISV stands for Independent Software Vendor.
In the centre, companies who develop enterprise or branch-specific solutions based on Microsoft’s platform can work in cooperation with Microsoft specialists.
“We have chosen to locate the centre in Vedbæk because we already have 750 developers there and also because since the Navision era there has been an attitude towards partnership. It has also been taken into account that Scandinavia has one of the world’s highest dissemination of IT”, said Jean-Philip Courtois, CEO for Microsoft in Europe, Middle East and Africa, to the Danish ComputerWorld.
Microsoft had already established development centres in the United Kingdom and Germany, but the new MTC Centre in Vedbæk is the first in Europe that will specifically address ISV’s technical and business needs.
