Mobile pioneer back to Copenhagen
Juha Christensen is leaving its position as President for Mobile and Devices Business at Macromedia to start a new mobile content company that will be based in Copenhagen and California.

According to the Danish Computerworld, the reason to partially base the startup in Copenhagen is due to Christensen’s perception that there are many people who value mobile technologies in the Danish capital.

Christensen will start the new venture with a North-American friend. The two entrepreneurs, who target a market that they expect will grow more to approximately 70 billion euro in 2007, will initially finance the new company.

Before joining Macromedia, from 2000 to 2003, Christensen served as corporate vice president of Microsoft's Mobile Devices Group. In 1996, he co-founded Symbian, which began as a Psion PLC spin-off. He was one of the main keynote speakers of Nordic Unwired 2004, an event organised by Øresund IT that took place last September in Lund.
