Kastor is a graphics and animation software technology for user interfaces built on a new architectural approach that delivers advanced graphical features not possible with traditional techniques. The interface is being used in Sony Ericssson’s K500, S700 and K700 models, informs TAT.

Thanks to Kastor, the transition between icons is a lot smoother than in previous phones, and the movement is followed by a subtle highlight. TAT has together with the UI department at Sony Ericsson implemented the new interface.
