Decuma first company to join UIQ Alliance
The Lund-based company has been invited to join the UIQ Alliance Partner Program, which is targeting a chosen set of companies providing applications or services based on the UIQ user interface.

UIQ is a user interface platform for Symbian OS, intended for advanced, media rich mobile phones. UIQ is designed to offer easy access to the wide variety of data services in 2.5G and 3G networks. UIQ based phones give access to enterprise applications, email, multimedia clips and web pages.

The Alliance Partner Program is run by UIQ Technology, a fully owned subsidiary of Symbian based in Sweden. The purpose of UIQ Alliance is to enrich the UIQ eco-system and to make it easier for Licensees to find UIQ compatible solutions. The program is based on a close cooperation between the partners and UIQ Technology.UIQ Alliance partners can join the program by invitation only.

Decuma offers handwriting recognition software that currently covers Japanese and Chinese as well as western languages, a width not offered by anyone else in the market.
