Øresund navigator helps Stockholm locals and visitors find their way around
Wayfinder’s application for mobile navigation, Navigator, was recently upgraded to include the major part of Europe. At the same time, Wayfinder launched a campaign in Stockholm aimed to help locals and visitors to find their way around. |

The upgrade features a new graphical interface, a shorter start-up time and improved map functionality for Europe. The three combined makes it even easier to use your Smartphone as a complete navigation system. And it is the simplicity that Wayfinder wants to demonstrate in its new campaign that started in Stockholm last week. Five taxiposts have been placed in StockholmCity, offering visitors a possibility to try the software. And in addition to trying it, the participants also get a free taxi ride with taxis that use the Wayfinder Navigator. Making travel simpler, in two different ways.
Along with the upgrade, the product changed its name from EuroNavigator to Navigator. A change that reveals Wayfinder’s international expansion plans.
- The reason that we chose to adjust the product name was simply due to market expansion. We needed to find a name that would work on the global market place, says Jonas Sellergren, VP Product Management in a press release.
Wayfinder is based in Lund, Sweden, and was founded in 1995 as a spin off company from Ericsson. Wayfinder provides navigation products and services for Smartphones and work with companies such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Telefónica Móviles.
