Yahoo re-launches Nordic sites The international search engine and portal Yahoo opens up new offices in Denmark, Sweden and Norway. About one year after Yahoo closed their offices they are back to reclaim a market share of the prosperous e-commerce business in the region.

- We are re-launching the Nordic sites because our evaluation is that the market is with us again. There has been a very positive development in Denmark that we wish to become a part of, says Laila Dahlen, responsible for launching the Danish site, to Computerworld.dk.
Dahlen is also the CEO for the shopping portal Kelkoo that was bought by Yahoo last year. Kelkoo´s site will now be combined with the Nordic Yahoo sites.
The lack of advertising was what made Yahoo shut down their Nordic offices the first time. But times have changed, and Yahoo now considers the Nordic market to have an excellent growth potential.
