- The new Atchik-Realtime has the necessary expertise to become a leading provider of mobile services, not only in Europe but in the world, says Nikolaj Gammeltoft, executive of Koncern Forretningsudvikling at TDC. TDC ownes 35% of the Realtime shares, and will hold a total of 15% of the new company after the merger.
The merger outlines three major fields of business for Atchik-Realtime:
* Content for mobile phones (pictures, ringtones and games) * Sales and development of mobile communities (e.g. chat and dating) * Portals for mobile phones (news or similar services and content)
- With the two companies having obtained a certain maturity in a highly competitive market, we were looking to reinforce our positioning as mobile services specialists in that market. We affirm our strategy of making Atchik-Realtime the global leader in the field of mobile messaging, says Bertrand Darrouzet, CEO of Atchik-Realtime.
At the launch of the new company, Atchik-Realtime will have 120 employees, a turnaround of more than 15 million Euros and customers in over 50 countries, worldwide.
