Mobiles; even better than digital cameras Sony Ericsson recently launched a new line of mobiles, the Cybershots. This time the focus is on imaging quality. The Cybershot mobiles use a patented technology, BestPic, developed by Sony Ericsson in Lund.

First to come are models K800 and K790. These handsets have integrated 3.2 megapixel digital cameras with auto focus, Xenon flash and BestPic.
“We want to establish the mobile as a credible digital camera, which also can be used to communicate photos,” says Per Alksten, Product Marketing Manager at Sony Ericsson, to NyTeknik.
BestPic is a completely new feature that allows the user to take a sequence of nine photos by simply pressing the shutter button once. The camera takes four pictures before and four pictures after the actual image capture. The user then has nine pictures to choose from, making it possible to catch just the right moment.
