“This is really exiting and will be a new way for viewers to actually be on TV”, says Stina Åkesson, Product Manager at Softhouse Crossmedia Avenue, to news service Rapidus.
Twin Factor is a concept where the end-user sends a portrait image in an MMS to a network server. A face recognition system picks out the most similar portrait from a database of celebrities and a morphed sequence of the two pictures is shown on TV and also returned to the end-user’s mobile phone. Softhouse´s partner in the project, Yarosa Entertainment, provides and enables the graphical solution on screen.
The service will run in the Norwegian and Swedish editions of MTV.
Softhouse Crossmedia Avenue is a part of the Softhouse Group which has 70 employees and head office in Malmö, Sweden.
