The product filters the effects of darkness, bad weather conditions and dust, making it possible to interpret what is shown almost regardless of visibility conditions.
All that is required is to connect the product to a camera and a screen, and real-time visibility enhanced footage is a reality.
“The police are often on stakes-outs where they need to keep out of sight,” explains Andreas Ekengren, CEO LYYN, to news service Rapidus. “Using our product, they can set up a camera on a stand, and then from a distance look at a small screen where the technology will adjust the images in real-time.”
The order is small but significant. The shipment of ten or so units to the police means vital revenue and an opportunity for the product to reach the market and be tested by end-users. Andreas Ekengren sees a huge market potential, especially in the US.
LYYN AB is based at Ideon Science Park in Lund, Sweden.
