Avanade Denmark seeks to recruit Swedes
More companies are starting to realise the potential of an integrated job market in the Øresund region.
(Human-tech)

Avanade, a joint venture between Micosoft and Accenture, are now looking to the Swedish side of the Sound to find consultants for its newly established Danish business.

”We have started to look to the other side of Øresund. The response has been positive, there is an interest for seeking employment at a Danish establishment,” says Lars-Bo Klausen, director at Avanade, to Computerworld.

According to Mr Klausen, the company has already received several applications from Swedish candidates.

Even though the Danish branch is seeking Swedish talents, Mr. Klausen sees no conflict with its sister organization in Sweden. Swedes living in Skåne can easily commute to Copenhagen, whereas taking up employment for the Swedish branch often means moving up to Stockholm.

Avanade is a Microsoft/Accenture joint venture specialized in integrating enterprise solutions from Microsoft. Avanada Denmark has set up office in Ørestad City, just on the other side of the bridge from Sweden.
