Swedish high-tech company Prevas acquired Glaze eleven moths ago. The Danish subsidiary will now merge with IO technologies, as Prevas has signed a letter of intent to acquire IO Technologies. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The fusion between Glaze and IO Technologies will create the one of the largest Danish development houses within intelligent products with 60 employees and an expected turnover of 50 million DKK.
”It’s a perfect match between our developments activities and Glaze’s large professional staff of engineers within product development. Together we will be able to offer a wide range of competences, technologies and modules within electronics and software,” says Rune Domsten, Director at IO Technologies, in a press release.
IO Technologies has had long-term research collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark regarding development of the next generation of ultrasound scanners and wireless technologies, a collaboration which Glaze expects a lot from.
"We are generally very interested in collaborating with educational institutions and universities. We would like to be part of developing technologies which are at the forefront, and that type of collaboration also provides the opportunities to recruit the best minds,” says Michael Carl, Managing Director of Glaze
