Swedish Skånetrafiken, responsible for public transport in Skåne, and Cap Gemini have developed the service “My Pages” writes NyTeknik. “My Pages” is an enhancement of the Skånetrafiken´s service” Journey Planner,” an Internet based service where travellers can search for information about journeys.

“Our customers have requested the possibility to save their searches and to get information of journey time wherever they are. Using the service “My Pages” and a mobile gives them this possibility,” says Jonas Westerdahl, sales manager at Skånetrafiken.

Users of “My Pages” can also participate in a pilot study of using the mobile as means of payment in Malmö and Helsingborg.

On the Danish side of the Sound travelling by public transport will be easier in the future as DSB´s paper tickets becomes digital.

In connection with this, DSB also participates in a study, coordinated by Crossroads Copenhagen, that explores the mobile’s potential to supplement the DSB travel card. The mobile will be functioning as means of payment, travel plan, calculator of time, place and price and as source of traffic information.

Already now, DSB travellers can get information directly into their mobiles when the next train will leave a specific station by using “SMS Trafikinfo”.
