The Danish software company iMotions – Emotion Technology has achieved what can be considered as a breakthrough on the US market for its product iMotions Emotion Tool, which can measure human emotional response to visual stimuli.

The customer, Cunningham Research Group, is a supplier of consumer data collection services to advertising agencies across the US. The company has made a small, yet significant, purchase of 10 tools, writes ComputerWorld.

Peter Hartzbech, CEO and Co-founder of iMotion, wishes not to disclose the value of the order, but admits to it being in the DKK million range and considered a breakthrough. He says, “Cunningham has branches all over the US, which gives our product visibility throughout US.”

Paul Cunningham, at Cunningham Research Group, is enthusiastic about the Danish developed product, which he means could transform the market. “It is such a major market advantage for both us and iMotions, that we already have implemented the tool”

Founded in 2005 by CEO Peter Hartzbech and CTO Jakob de Lemos, iMotions is headquartered in Copenhagen in the Øresund region. The company currently employs 22 people in Denmark and has recently established a development center in Hyderabad in India.
