77 per cent of the participants in the survey take up a positive attitude to either side of the sound when looking for a job, writes Frederiksborg Amts Avis.
The survey was carried out on students at among others the Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby, Copenhagen Business School, Malmö Högskola and the Universities in Lund and Copenhagen.
”I am very surprised that the students so quickly are considering the entire Øresund Region as their work area. This is very positive and this survey should be an eyeopener for the companies in the area,” says Peter Höjerback, managing director at Øresund IT Academy.
And Jacob Lyngsø, general manager for the IT industry, says: ”Especially our small member companies are not good at recruiting from other countries and to them Swedish manpower is very attractive and indicates that some of the Swedes already are working in Denmark.”
On the other hand, more and more Danes are also working in Sweden where large companies, less expensive houses and favourable taxation are very attractive.
