HandStep and Sybase, two providers of mobile solutions, predict that 75 per cent of Danish employees to some extend will be mobile in 2008. According to the two companies Denmark will become a role model from whom the rest of Europe may learn, writes Erhvervsbladet.
Sybase, a global player within mobility software, together with HandStep sell more mobile licenses in Denmark than in the other Nordic countries.
“Denmark is far ahead with the adoption of mobile solutions and in this market we sell the majority of mobile licenses. Denmark is a pioneer country and the success will be copied in the rest of Europe”, says Steve Shine, European manager of Sybase.
“Previously mobile solutions were primary aimed at business managers needing advanced features, but today the difference is that all kinds of employees – in the field and in the office – benefit from mobile solutions”, says Christian Poulsen, CEO HandStep.
According to Christian Poulsen, Danish municipalities make good use of mobile solutions. Especially the home care sector has successfully adapted mobile solutions as part of the government’s initiatives to make the health care sector more effective.
