British YouGov is to take over the company from the founders as well as the two venture capital companies NorthCap and Slottsbacken which each own approximately 38 per cent of the share capital, writes Computerworld.
Zapera does online market research in the Nordic countries and has offices in Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark. The 70 employees serve more than 400 clients in the Nordic countries.
YouGov is in the same business as Zapera and has had the Danish company as its partner during the last few years on projects in the Nordic region.
Altogether YouGov will pay an amount of DKK 80-120 million for the Danish company which was founded in 2000. The price depends on how well Zapera will do in the near future.
”With the acquisition of the analysis jewel in the Nordic region we are proving our position as Europe’s leading supplier of Internet-based analysis products,” says CEO of YouGov, Nadhim Zahawi.
Zapera was established in January 2000 as the first market research agency solemnly doing online market research in the Nordic countries.
